Third Grade News

This year is moving fast!  Since we haven't had any snow days, the year is chugging along nicely.  I am wishing for some snow days as I am sure you are as well.

In math, we are starting Topic 10. This topic is a geometry unit that covers solid figures and how they relate to shapes, understanding lines, line segments and angles.  We will learn about polygons, triangles, and quadrilaterals. 

We are wrapping up our Social Studies on Mali, Africa.  We will finish up a non-fiction book about Mali, complete a study guide, and review for our test on Friday.

There is an SOL review sheet this week that is due on Friday.  This sheet was in your child's Monday folder. 

The Monday Minutes was sent home in one child's folder, not everyone's.  I apologize for the mix up.  The Monday Minutes is now in your child's green homework folder.
